Syllabus

Week 1

One- and Two-Dimensional Kinematics:
Study one- and two-dimensional motion for objects with both uniform and non-uniform acceleration.

Week 2

Newton’s Laws of Motion:
Study Newton's laws with a focus on the second law applied in multiple scenarios.

Week 3

Work, Energy, and Power:
Study the work-energy theorem, forces and potential energy, conservation of energy, and power.

Week 4

System of Particles and Linear Momentum:
Study the definition of impulse and momentum and use the law of conservation of linear momentum to analyze collisions.

Week 5

Torque and Rotational Kinematics:
Study how to  apply the principles of rotational kinematics and dynamics to analyze rotational motion.

Week 6

Rotational Dynamics and Angular Momentum:
Learn how to apply rotational dynamics and the conservation of angular momentum to analyze rotational motion undergoing collisions.

Week 7

Gravitation:
Study  gravitational forces and how they can be used to analyze the orbits of planets and satellites.

Week 8

Oscillations:
Study the characteristics of oscillating mass-spring systems and pendulums.

Week 9

Practice Exam 1
Study test taking strategies and practice exam.

Practice Exam 2
Study test taking strategies and practice exam.
